Flash forward to the present where Ash Ketchum and friends are visiting Cameran Palace in the middle of Rota Town for a Pokémon tournament. Being The Hero and all, Ash naturally wins, and so is presented with the Staff of Sir Aaron.

Perhaps Sir Aarons Lucario was a bad example but my best comparison would be Camerons Lucario/Riolu. That one had so much personality. Satoshi's lucario's most used facial expression if angry/grumpy and that's that. It's boring. Compare that to Camerons Lucario who could be both cool and a goofball.
